I measure objects and spaces with my body. The old sandbox measures 8×7 lengths of my feet. The diagonal of the campfire measures 16 lengths. My bent body fills the round chair perfectly. I lie down on different surfaces. I can feel their smell. I touch their textures. I often try not to injure my skin. The space should not become me, should not claim me or my body. I do not claim the space. I take a picture. In this way I arrive at a space. I’m on it, next to it, I’m aligned with it, I’m in it, I’m separate to it. I examine spaces through my body. My body is welcome in spaces. My body is a space.
Work in progress.
